Cost: $200 for MAPL Members; $250 non members; $50 Students* – fees increase March 6.

Join leading practitioners, regulators, and industry experts for the 18th Triennial Oil & Gas Law Seminar at the Hilton-Jackson. This one-day program will address emerging legal, regulatory, and commercial issues shaping the energy sector.

Sessions include:

• Pollution in the Oil Patch —an in-depth look at liability, remediation, enforcement trends, and risk management for operators and landowners.
• Carbon Sequestration Panel: legal frameworks, permitting, pore-space and property rights, long-term monitoring and liability allocation for CCS projects.
• Impacts of the Pascagoula Refinery.
• Legislative Update: review of recent and pending state legislation affecting oil, gas, and energy transition policy.
• Data Centers in Mississippi - Why they matter? How can Landmen be involved? Land issues?
• Ethics - Unauthorized Practice of Law
• Alabama Mineral Issues - review of Alabama Mineral Law issues.
